Transition Period of EN954-1 Extended

In December 2009, the European Commission decided to extend the transition period for application of ISO13849-1, for two more years until December 31st, 2011. As a result, EN954-1 will be listed under the new Machinery Directive for presumption of conformity and CE marking. Until this date machine manufacturers and operators can apply EN 954-1 or EN ISO 13849-1 to gain the presumption of conformity.
