Electromagnetic
locking with safety position switch
The
control of guard doors requires sometimes, in addition to a safety
control, to integrate a magnetic latch
to prevent an unwanted opening.
SUPERMAGNET
includes all the benefits of our innovations (non-contact, electronic
decoding, anti-tamper, easy serial wiring, etc...).
The
range is available in two references:
- SM1-OP
- and SM2-E (locking when un-energized), for the requirements of machine safety.
With
these switches, you can lock doors closed, without making contact,
providing a friction proof link, which is easy to wash down. Available
for small and large door applications. These units are all
designed to be used with safety relays.

Its
non-contact design guarantees no wear in the time and higher tolerance
to door misalignment. The entire range features M12 connectors for ease
of installation (possibility of double connectors on SM2).
On
the SM1-OP, a new feature has been integrated compared to previous
reference SM1 VSE OPDEC.

On
the SM2, the release of magnet and safety lines are independent.
To
be released, the magnet has to be energized, but the machine will be
stopped only when the guard door is opened (regular version), as a
traditional position safety switch.

indicates the status of the switch (only on SM1).
It must be connected to an Awax Safety module to monitor correctly the
